Doolittle's Dispensary, of 28 Hawthorne Avenue, Swansea SA2 0LR, is a registered veterinary practice, regulated by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and where the sales of veterinary medicines from these premises are governed and regulated by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD). The supply of prescription only veterinary medicines from these premises is overseen by veterinary surgeons who are registered members of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Website access

The website is currently only available to residents of the United Kingdom and for customers aged 18 years or over.

You will be able to access the majority of this website without having to register any details with us. However, particular areas of this website will only be accessible to users who have registered their details with us.

Doolittle's Dispensary will provide information and advice to our customers on our website, via email and using social media outlets. We endeavour to ensure that any advice given is accurate and appropriate. Doolittle's Dispensary will not be liable for any loss or damage which results from the use of the website or the information it contains.

Customer use of any information or materials on this website is entirely at their own risk, for which we shall not be liable. It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this website meet your specific requirements.

Placement of orders

Orders can only be requested via the website. You are able to make changes to your order at any time before payment is made by following the steps on the website.

If you wish to change your order after payment has been taken, you can telephone us on 0845 643 4715 or email us at sales@doolittlesdispensary.com by 9pm on the same day as your order.

If you are not happy with the product/s we have delivered to you for whatever reason, please refer to our Cancellation, Returns & Refunds Policies.

If you are unsure on the suitability of a product or how to administer it, you are advised to refer to information contained on this website and/or consult veterinary staff for advice before administering a product to your animal(s). Please take time to read all product and packaging literature before using a product. We aim to include the manufacturer's data sheet with every medicinal product. However, in the event that there is no accompanying datasheet, you can visit www.noah.co.uk (National Office of Animal Health website), where you are able to read the data sheet(s) that apply to the veterinary medicinal products that you intend to purchase or have purchased.

All order requests will receive an order confirmation email.

In the case of prescription medications, you will only be able to purchase the quantities of the specific product as detailed by the prescription and a hard copy of the prescription must be sent to Doolittle's Dispensary, 28 Hawthorne Avenue, Swansea SA2 0LR. Faxed or emailed copies of the prescription may be verified with the veterinary surgeon who issued the prescription and the dispatch of the prescription medication may be delayed if suspicion relating to the authenticity of the prescription arises.

Payment

All transactions using credit and debit cards are carried out on a secure payment service provider website (SagePay), not on our website. As such, we only have access to partial details of your card (type of card and the last 4 numbers), and we never have access to the full details of your credit or debit card when you make payments online.

However, SagePay, the card payment facilitator, does store details of your card, which allows us to put through further payments on your card by requesting this from the provider upon your clear instruction - for example, when you place further orders. Full records of payments taken can be viewed online in your personal account and supplied in paper form on request. Completion of the ordering process by you confers acceptance of this holding.

Payment by cheque will not be accepted.

Returns

You may return any products you have purchased (with the exception of prescription only medicines) within seven working days of delivery for any reason.

Before returning a product, please notify us in writing, preferably by email, that you intend to do so and the reason, otherwise you may not be eligible for a refund. You must arrange for and pay the costs of returning the items to Doolittle's Dispensary.

If you would like Doolittle's Dispensary to arrange a courier collection of the product/s, please contact us – there will be a £10 charge for returns by courier and this will be charged to you when collection is arranged. If you do not return the products to Doolittle's Dispensary we reserve the right to charge you for the cost of recovering the products from you.

While in your possession, you must take reasonable care of the products you intend to return to us. Please note that all returned items must be in an unused state and in their original packaging, and any free or promotional material returned alongside it.

Doolittle's Dispensary will, at its option, deliver to you a replacement product or refund you the price paid and your reasonable costs of returning the products if the product delivered is not what you ordered, does not correspond with its description, is not of a satisfactory quality or is not fit for its purpose.

If the product was delivered to you by Royal Mail then we will provide you with a freepost envelope to return the products; if the products were delivered to you by courier, then we will arrange and pay for a courier to collect the item/s.

We reserve the right to make changes or corrections, alter, suspend or discontinue any aspect of our website or the content available through it, including your access to it. Unless explicitly stated to the contrary, any new features including new content and/or the sale of new products shall be subject to these terms and conditions.

Please note that although we try to ensure that the content of our website is accurate, we rely upon the information provided to us by the manufacturers of the products. Accordingly, we cannot be held responsible for changes made to products where we have not been notified of these changes by the manufacturer.

As a customer of Doolittle's Dispensary, it is important that the information you give us is true and regularly updated. It is also important that we have some basic information about your pets. Please register each of your pets by creating a pet profile and ensure it is updated at least once every 12 months, particularly with information relating to your animal's weight.
